Fall Festival

Annual La Fortina Fall Festival

Saturday, October 30th

4:00pm - 6:00pm

Come celebrate fall at the annual Fall Festival with your family, friends, and neighbors in the La Fortina Park! This is not just for kids –
We encourage everyone to attend!

• Hot dogs

• Cotton Candy

• Hay rides

• Two Bounce Houses

• Photo Booth

• Games and Prizes

• Costume contest and parade

(Award categories – baby, toddler, kids, teens, and adult)

Neighborhood Trick-or-Treating at 6:00pm

Plus, we will be awarding prizes for the Home Decoration Contest –
Judging will be done on October 27th:

• Scariest

• Best Light Display

Fire Lane Painting

The Fire Lane Striping in our community is being repainted 7/14. This should help everyone in the community remember NOT to park in the fire lanes.    

If you do park in the fire lane, there is a very high possibility that your car will towed.

Please advise your friends, neighbors and guests not to park in the Fire Lanes.

Free Document Shredding Event

Tax season is almost over and now is the time to get rid of those unwanted documents, bills and receipts that you don’t need to retain, especially if you are leaving for the summer!

The Arizona Crime Prevention Association is hosting a document shredding event .
            When:  Saturday, April 10, 2010
            Where: Premier Document Shredding
                          2250 W. Broadway
                          Mesa, AZ
            Time:  9am to 11am

Free up to 2 boxes of documents. Donations will be accepted with proceeds going to the Arizona Crime Prevention Association.

Annual Holiday Festival

Thank you to all that came out for our annual Fall Festival. We hope everyone had a great time and were able to meet new people within our wonderful community. The chili was wonderful and I think the judges had a hard time deciding which to pick. Thank you to all who brought food to share and helped set up and clean up.

We would like to thank the Boy Scouts of troop 956 for helping us set up and help run our booths and Preferred Communities for running the cotton candy machine for us. Also, Bobbi Randall for helping with planning and Amy Griner for taking pictures. We would also like to thank the following vendors Tina with Gold Canyon Candles, Brenda with her beautiful Blankets, Nancy with Word of mouth cookies, our neighbor with pumpkins from his farm in Queen Creek and Aaron with State Farm on Southern & Signal Butte.

We would also like to thank the following companies for the wonderful donations. Chick-fil-A Superstition Springs, Krispy-Kreme, McDonalds, Starbucks, Bahama Bucks, In-N-Out Burger, Village Inn, Chilis, The Golden Spoon, Little Caesars Pizza, Tina Gold Canyon Candles, and Word on Mouth Cookie Company.

I hope we didn't leave anyone out. We thank everyone for making La Fortina a great place to live.

We hope you will all come out again on Saturday, December 5th for Santa and Snow in the park at 3pm.
